The result of micropigmentation depends largely on how you care for your skin afterwards. Here are the basics — your specialist will give you personalised instructions.

The first days

The area can look darker and slightly tender — this is normal. Don’t pick or peel any scabs; let them fall off naturally.

Use only the products your specialist recommends, in a very thin layer.

What to avoid

Avoid hot water directly on the area, sauna, pool, direct sun and tanning beds while it heals.

Don’t apply make-up or exfoliating creams to the treated area until fully healed.

Colour and touch-up

The pigment looks stronger at first and softens as it heals. That’s why a touch-up is usually done after a few weeks to finalise the result.

Long-term sun protection helps the colour stay beautiful for longer.

Frequently asked questions

When can I wear make-up again?

Your specialist will tell you right after the treatment; generally the treated area is avoided until healed.

Is a touch-up necessary?

Usually yes — a touch-up session finalises the shape and colour intensity.
