How long brow micropigmentation lasts and what affects it
Micropigmentation is not permanent: the pigment fades gradually. On average the result lasts 1–2 years, but the real duration depends on your skin and how you look after it.

Average duration
On average 1–2 years. The colour fades gradually, usually without a sudden change.
In the first weeks the pigment looks stronger; after healing and the touch-up, the colour settles.
What shortens or extends the duration
Oily skin, frequent sun exposure, peels and exfoliating products on the brow area can shorten the duration.
Sun protection, hydration and following aftercare instructions help the colour last longer.
When to book a refresh
Most clients book a refresh once the colour starts to fade, usually yearly. If the work is older, at the consultation we assess whether a refresh or a correction is needed.
