Brow lamination: contraindications and when to wait

Lamination is a non-invasive treatment, but it does not suit everyone at every moment. Below are the situations we discuss at the consultation before starting. This is general information; for medical issues, ask your doctor.

Allergies and sensitive skin

Tell us when booking if you have known allergies or sensitivities. If needed, we do a patch test before the treatment.

When it is best to wait

If the skin around your brows is irritated, has wounds or an infection, it is better to wait until it has healed.

If you recently had facial treatments (peel, retinoids), tell us at the consultation.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor and let us know when booking.

How the consultation works

Before the treatment we assess your brows and skin, discuss what you want and tell you honestly whether lamination is the right choice or whether another treatment would suit you better.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have lamination with very sparse brows?

Lamination works with existing hairs. For areas without hair, you can discuss micropigmentation at the consultation.

Does lamination hurt?

Generally not: it is non-invasive and the sensations are mild.

This information is general. Every skin and hair type is different — at the consultation we give personalised recommendations.
