Brow tinting: henna or dye? Differences, how long it lasts and prices

Tinting gives brows colour and definition without daily make-up. Choosing between henna and dye depends on the effect you want: naturally coloured hairs or a fuller outline.

Dye

Dye colours the hair and generally lasts 2–3 weeks.

The “hair only” option colours just the hairs, not the skin beneath, for a very natural effect.

Henna

Henna also stains the skin, so the brow looks fuller, as if made up.

It generally lasts 1–2 weeks on the skin and up to about 6 weeks on the hair.

Which one to choose

For a natural, discreet look, hair-only dye is usually the right choice. If your brows are sparse or have gaps, henna makes them look fuller.
